I'm planning on running in the Kiwanis 5k on September 13th. This is a pretty hilly course, so a personal record setting 5k time is most likely out of the question. The run starts out down the same hill I hit 40 mph on my bike commute. I'm sure lots of folks will blow their race on that first mile and I'm going to try not to be one of them. This is going to be a tune up run and with the hills I'd take another 24 min run at this point. I'll reevaluate my finish prediction after another month of aerobic conditioning.

Here's the
info sheet on the race.

Planning on going out to practice on the course in the near future. Bust out a few hill repeats on the course. Bonus point for running race courses are close.
