Quickness in the Cold

55 degrees out tonight. I ran a mile with Chief to warm up and give him some much needed exercise. He's been missing his morning walks since my family has been ill. I decided to skip the long run tonight and change it up a bit. I ran the same very hilly course that I was running back in August tonight. I ran the 4 miles at a 7:20 pace at what felt like 85% or so. This also means I ran my fastest 5k tonight in that a 7:20 pace equates to a 22:37 5k. Not too shabby for lots of hills and not running all out. Take out the first mile which was up hill and before I got warm... I bet I ran a 21:30 5k without really trying. I can't wait until the December 5k. I may be sub 21 on a flat course in the cooler weather.

Stats:
5 miles total.
(1) 9:30 min/mile
(4) 7:20 min/mile

Cold but enlightened about speed coming with chilly air.
