I slept in Saturday morning and did not have time to go for a ride. I hit the trainer for 20 minutes instead doing intervals. I have little leg strength left for cycling. I could not get my heart rate up very high before my legs would burn. It's time to start mixing in some biking so I don't loose too much. After a late night going to the USC vs. LSU game, I decided to go on what has become my usual slow run before church. I stumbled out of bed at 5:45 and overdressed for the 45 degree temp. I cut the run short at 2.75 miles. I could not wake up, I could not run fast enough for the run to wake me up because I was overdressed. I could not continue to jog slowly because I thought I might fall asleep. I walked back to my house jogging every few minutes to stay warm. I seriously could have gone to sleep on the sidewalk. I will not attempt a run on 4 hours of sleep again. I crashed out when I got home for several hours. I've not felt 100% for a few days now and wonder if it's time to take a week off with just a few short quality tempo miles and no long runs.
