Mile Intervals

Last night I ran three one mile intervals with negative split times. The first was 8:30 pace to warm up. The second was intended to be 8:00 pace, but ended up being 7:37. The last mile was run at an average of 7:34 pace. The front half of this last mile was on pace to be sub 6 minutes. I decided to back off and lightly jog 1/4 mile and then resumed running the last 1/4. Each interval had 30-45 seconds of recovery until my heart rate dropped to 55%. Once again I had some tape on my arches. I think the next run won't require any. My HR was only in the 180 range for the faster intervals. I like running faster miles instead of slogging away at 10k.
