Dog Run
I ran three miles with the Chief dog last night. He was working pretty hard that last mile. We started out strong with an 8:30 min/mile. Halfway through the second mile, I could tell the pace was too much for him so we backed down to a 9:30 min/mile. Halfway through the last mile we slowed again. It was hot for the little guy and I'm still trying to build him up. We ended up with a 10 min/mile pace average and my avg heart rate was 79% or so. It was really muggy and felt much hotter than 86 degrees. I hope after a few weeks Chief and I can do three miles at 8 min/mile pace a few times a week.

You must understand The Chief. Put on a parka and clog all your pores then go for a run. I too ran my dogs into submission last night. They looked satisfied.
Oh yeah... I was drenched in sweat and still hot. All he could do was pant faster and silently curse his fur. He'll be into things as the weather cools for sure. After a few minutes of cooling down back at the house, he brought me the ball... clearly he needs more running ;)
They don't know when to stop. It's a good thing they don't have thumbs.
What's your goal for this weekend? Sub 13
Sub 13 for sure. I want people to think grew up running in Kenya. People confuse me for U. Bolt in my neighborhood all the time now :) How about you, sub 13 and no puking?
