6.2 miles with Year Zero playing on the iPod freshly purchased from iTunes. Sicking dissatisfaction with an election that had me again voting against someone instead of for coupled with good old fashion dull existential rage fueled my run last night. The themes on Year Zero center around Trent Reznor's fantasy world which is based on his opinion that the Bush Administration moved to crush liberty in incremental steps. I understand the point of view, but disagree. I see more of the same from the cult of Obama Social-Fascism on the horizon, it's just a different brand of dystopia. The album's themes are universal enough to be entertaining as science fiction in it's on right. I give it a B-.
At any rate, a little hate goes a long way to fuel a run I did not really look forward to.
