Group Road Ride

Wanted a road ride for a good workout.  Dave told me the local shop ride was 20+ average now.  I showed up at 7:45 sharp and waited with three riders to see if anyone else was going to show.  After ten minutes, we called it.  We road the same route I road with these guys a year and a half ago.  It's a nice route through the Lexington countryside.  Traffic was not bad, but then again I'm use to commuting in rush hour downtown Lexington traffic.  I could tell early on that this ride was more of a friendly ride than a hammer fest.  The paceline never got organized.  Riders were taking long pulls.  Still, it was nice to break up riding at Harbison so much the last few weeks.  I was a little rude and road off the front on Windmill for a bit.  I needed the climbing  work to be harder.  Sorry about that guys :)

Stats:

18.6 Average
43 miles
164 HR average (without 20 mins of stop time it was more like 170 HR)
2170 Cal including the stops

I was even more rude after two riders dropped off and it was myself and another guy who was holding 16. As soon as we got to town I started holding 25... I had stuff to do and a family function to attend. Since the "group" had already broken up I and I did not know the guy, I figured that while a bit rude it would be forgotten quickly.
