Urban Assault/ Trail ride: Building Endurance

Monty and I rode over to Harbison, rode the trails, and then rode back this morning. It was a nice ride that ended just in time. After we finished 23 or so trail miles and headed back to Lexington, I notice that my back tire was louder than usual. I had a slow leak. On the way back towards the Dam, I could really tell it was going. I made it to my driveway before I was totally on the rim though. It was a nice ride, we'll have to do that more often. The Cake handles like a tank compared to my road bike though. I'm not use to looking down and seeing 15 and 16mph on the road. There is an annoying creak coming from the headset too, will have to look into that.

Stats:

3:50 ride time (4:20 total with a few stops)
42.5 miles
11 mph average
155 average heartrate
3300 cal
Lots of Gu
3.5 bottles of Heed

UPDATE:
Pulled headset apart, found LOTS of trash. Bearing cup is slightly worn on bottom. Greased everything with extra and let it squeeze out. Fixed the flat and took her out for a quick shakedown and the noise seems to be gone. Now all I hear is brake rotor and spoke noise when leaning. I suspect those are related so I'll throw the wheels up on the stand and tighten things up a bit. Headset feels very rough and will have to be upgraded in the next six months.

It'd be a 70+ miler from your place :) Next time we hook up out there, I may ride out instead of taking the jeep.

You know I was just kidding when I said I would Urban Assault Harbison from the Northeast, but I just heard gas prices could hit $10. That may be the only way I get to your side of town this summer.
