Tried to hang with Monty and Toby on their single speed machines. I think I could handle them both... if they would just run 52 x 12 out there, I feel sure I can ride faster than they can hike.
Those boys are strong, that's all I'll say :)
It was a quick ride with Monty for a short loop, then Monty and Jim for another short loop before swinging back by the parking area to pick up Toby. Nice weather and nice trail conditions both made nice ride over all. I managed to keep them in sight and or ear shot for most of the ride. As a group of 4 we rode Lost Creek and then the big loop with Crooked Pine. Jim and I skipped on Spider Woman. It was a nice endurance building ride for me. The Cake is still shifting like crap, could not keep the chain on the big ring. No surprise since I did not do much to the bike after Race to the River. She'll get the full clean up treatment and a tune up ASAP.

52x12 I don't think I will ever feel that froggy. I like speed but I would need to be the Hulk to turn those gears.
